Garden Cloche

This is going to be one of my posts that's high on picture and low on chatter...

Hope you don't mind!

Because this is one of those tablescapes that took me 4 hours!

and I have dishes and chores still left to get done.

All the flowers were picked from my garden...I picked them last night at 11 PM because I was worried that the storms we were going to get were going to destroy what little blooms I had...

This way I get to enjoy them inside for a bit.

Irises and alliums are what I have blooming right now...

and I wasn't going to do purple again..in my tablescape...

Guess that's not going to happen since I have purple everywhere!

Animal Print & Purple

I think this is going to be one of my favorite scapes...

Have you ever had one of those moments when your doing something creative and it just all comes together quickly...

This is one of them for me...

I don't know if it's the animal print plates or the runners...or the touches of purple...

But this one is going to be one of my favorites

Marty at A Stroll Thru Life is having a cloche party next week...The purple hurricane doesn't really qualify as a cloche...That was my original intention...to do something for her party and Seasonal Sundays at The Tablescaper...

But this just flowed...

Guess I'll have to do another one....<snicker>
Tablescapes Anonymous here I come!

I was kind of excited for about 2 seconds yesterday...I found a Tablescape Contest in NE Indiana...I was going to join...

Until I saw the entry fee....FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS!

Uhhhh good luck with that! That's too high for me...I was thinking twenty?...fifty?...LOL

I'll stick to the blog world...it's free.

Enjoy your weekend!

The Blooms are Coming!!

Here is what's blooming so far in my front yard...I have been moving some items around so I have some filling in to do, but to me, that's the fun part!

This little guy... I just snatched him up at Home Depot...When the Lavender pops up behind it will be a beautiful sight!

Alliums....Love this flower! They will be totally popping open in a day or so....every time I see these bulbs, I buy them...I have them sprinkled next to the sidewalk...

I forgot the name of this lemon yellow plant but it is such a great contrast to the purple alliums. I actually divided it last spring and it is also on the other side of the yard...and it is not disappointing me. I might have to divide it again....

This little guy had a field day! I was digging a hole and found some slugs (or maybe they were grub worms) and started throwing them in the yard... I almost had this bird eat one out of my hand....but the slimy thing started moving and it was kinda slithery....yes... I got grossed out....so I yelled "Fast Food" and flung it...My neighbors probably think I am on medication....out there talking to birds, squirrels and telling slugs to get out!

Hellebore's...This is my first spring with these beauties...and it has been blooming for weeks now...Love it!

Japanese Maple...Love the color but they are such slow growers...I am thinking of hunting down a bigger one and relocating this to a new spot.

I bought a couple of ferns, moved and re-painted the house numbers...I also found a sweet wrought iron "Welcome" sign and had Hubby drill and anchor it in(above the house numbers)...you see it as you walk up the sidewalk...Sorry, I forgot to get a pic of it.

Enjoy the outdoors, because I know I will!
